PHOS respects the quiet of your inbox and the privacy of your data. This policy explains, plainly, what we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

01 · What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information PHOS collects when you visit this website, create an account, place an order, or enroll in a subscription — and how we use, share, and protect it. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the site, you consent to the practices described here.

02 · Information you give us

When you order or create an account we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, and order details. When you subscribe we additionally store your delivery cadence and renewal preferences. When you contact us, leave a review, or answer the hair quiz, we keep the content of that correspondence. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processors (including Shopify Payments) — we never see or store full card numbers.

03 · Information collected automatically

Like most sites, we automatically receive your IP address, browser and device type, time zone, pages viewed, referral source, and how you interact with the site. This is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, and is used for cart functionality, login sessions, analytics, fraud screening, and advertising measurement.

04 · Cookies & advertising pixels

We use first-party cookies for essential store functions (cart, checkout, sessions) and third-party tools — including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel — to understand site performance and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential store functions may stop working if you do. Where required by your region, we honor consent and opt-out signals.

05 · How we use your information

We use personal information to fulfill and ship orders, process payments and renewals, manage your subscription, provide customer support, screen for fraud and risk, improve our products and site, and — with your consent — send marketing email. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe; transactional emails (order and shipping confirmations, renewal reminders) are sent regardless because they are part of the service.

06 · Subscriptions

If you enroll in Subscribe & Save, we store your payment method securely with our payment processor and charge it automatically at the cadence you selected (30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 180 days). We send a reminder email at least three days before each renewal. Skipping, pausing, or cancelling in your account updates or stops this processing for shipments not yet processed.

07 · Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to run the store: Shopify (our ecommerce platform), payment processors, shipping carriers, email service providers, subscription-management tools, and analytics and advertising partners. Each is bound to use your information only to provide its service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the measurement pixels described above. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights and customers.

08 · Data retention

Order and transaction records are retained as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Account and marketing data are kept until you ask us to delete them or after extended inactivity. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

09 · Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of marketing or targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@phos-studios.com from the address on your account; we verify and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

10 · Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: all traffic is encrypted with TLS, payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant processors, and access to customer data is limited to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of any breach as required by law.

11 · Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.

12 · International visitors

PHOS is operated from the United States and your information is processed on U.S. servers. If you visit from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

13 · Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date reflects the latest revision, and material changes will, where reasonably possible, be communicated by email. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
